Assessment of two methods on zoning wildfire propagation in Itacolomi State Park, Minas Gerais State, Brazil

This study aimed to assess the wild fire propagation risk wildfires in Itacolomi State Park, Minas Gerais State, Brazil, using GIS and compare efficiency of incident solar radiation over aspect variable. The following variables were used: land cover/use (LCU), slope (SLP), curvature (CUR), (ASP) (SOL). weights each variable calculated from ratio between total area burned class order generate maps. Fire data 2016 2019 used for validation. When moderate was considered susceptible, inadequate precision observed both methods (ASP SOL). On other hand, when non-susceptible fire, results presented accuracy. Furthermore, SOL ASP showed similar results. can guide mitigation actions on park.
